UIL Week is upon us. Thank you all for your flexibility and accountability at the end of this past week with our displacement for MS Choir UIL.

Please make sure you are aware of the schedule for this week as we have a lot going on. Let’s have a great week heading into UIL and the Dallas Winds Festival!

Cycle 4, Week 3 (A Week), April 7-13

Monday
- Wind Ensemble rehearsal from 3:30-5:30
Tuesday
- Symphonic Band from 3:30-5:30
Wednesday
- Wind Ensemble rehearsal from 3:30-5:30
- No Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal
Thursday
- Symphonic Band UIL from 12:00pm-4:30pm
Friday (A Day)
- Wind Ensemble UIL from 11:30am-4:30pm
Saturday
- Wind Ensemble Performs at the Dallas Winds Festival from 7:00am-11:30am
Sunday
- Free

Supplies

Please make sure you bring concert snare sticks and a practice pad to band class every day.

1 box of tissues per student is requested. One has observed this request, many more have used the tissues.

UIL Concert and Sightreading and Dallas Winds Festival

Our bands will participate in our UIL Concert and Sightreading adjudication on Thursday and Friday. Click on the links above to go to the event page for the event in addition to reviewing the band weekly update for other details.

On Saturday, Wind Ensemble will be competing at the Dallas Winds Band Festival. This performance will be at the Meyerson Symphony Center in downtown Dallas. We will be performing our UIL program for this contest. Additionally, the recordings from this performance will be used in our submission for other honors and contests. Please review the event information linked above for all details.

Rehearsal Schedule for the Week

Wind Ensemble will rehearse on Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-5:30. Symphonic Band will meet on Tuesday from 3:30-5:30. Please continue to stay aware of communications from Mr. Falls and Mr. Choi for rehearsal plans.

Jazz Band will not rehearse this week.

NFPE (Percussion Ensemble) will resume rehearsals starting next week on Tuesday, April 15.
