Congratulations on your accomplishments last week. From the concert, solo and ensemble festival, and our performance at the NTX Percussion Festival, you all represented yourselves very well. Congratulations!

A special shoutout to Malenah Geiss, Haley Huynh and Rolando Vicente for earning 1st division ratings at Region Solo and Ensemble Festival. Joshua and Kathy also earn special recognition for earning an Excellent rating. Haley and Rolando are going to State! Well done!

We will be focusing on UIL concert band music over the next few weeks. Please keep an eye out on our rehearsal and performance schedule.

Supplies

Please make sure you bring concert snare sticks and a practice pad to band class every day.

1 box of tissues per student is requested. One has observed this request, many more have used the tissues.

NTX Percussion Festival Feedback

Concert Band Rehearsals and Cluster Pre UIL This Week

Wind Ensemble will rehearse on Monday from 3:30-5:30. Symphonic Band will meet on Tuesday from 3:30-5:30. Please continue to stay aware of communications from Mr. Falls and Mr. Choi for rehearsal plans.

On Thursday, both Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will participate in our cluster Pre UIL. This is an excellent opportunity to receive feedback on our progress with the UIL concert music and get practice with the routine of sight reading. All students will need to attend this event from 3-5pm.
